Although most of us golf for recreation, stress relief, exercise or for social networking, I’ve never known of anyone who didn’t want to become a better golfer. When attempting to improve, the most common method golfer’s use is a combination of professional lessons and practice. This seems like the most logical approach, but more often than not the golfer may suffer injury and rarely reaches his or her potential.
Why? Simply put, very few golfers associate the need for improved physical conditioning with their quest for improved performance. Golf is often seen as a game of technical skill rather than an athletic contest. Contrary to this misconception, the golf swing is a highly athletic event which places serious demands on the body’s flexibility, core stability and strength levels. In order to realize their full potential, golfers must consider themselves athletes and train using programs scientifically designed to improve integration and synchronization if the entire body.
The BODY FOR GOLF conditioning programs are designed to help golfers of all skill levels lower their scores on the golf course through a golf specific exercise program. By participating in one of the following programs, you will not only improve your physical fitness, but will begin to build a body which can produce a consistent, repeatable golf swing.

OPTION #1: The one day BODY FOR GOLF workshop (one
2 hour session)
The purpose of this single session is to educate the participants about the
importance of golf specific fitness and how it will improve anyone’s golf
game.
This workshop will provide each participant with:
- Initial flexibility assessment and stretching program
- Core stability exercises
- basic pre-round warm up exercises
- information package on golf fitness and tips for improving your mental game
Minimum # of participants: 10
Investment per person: $40 +GST
OPTION #2: The six-week BODY FOR GOLF CONDITIONING PROGRAM
This program is for the golfer who is serious about taking steps to improving
their golf game and seeks individual instruction. Over the course of six weeks,
the participants will have six-70min. sessions with Josh once per week, learning
how to train their body for the golf swing.
This program will provide every golfer with:
- Comprehensive flexibility assessment
- individualized stretching program
- personal training for the golf specific conditioning program
- advanced pre – round warm up exercises
- weekly information packages with tips on golf fitness and the mental game
Minimum # of participants: 2
Investment per person: $300 +GST
OPTION #3: The four-week BODY FOR GOLF CONDITIONING
PROGRAM
Although this program is similar to option #2, it is the most intensive of the
three programs. Option #3 will provide each participant with the most one on
one attention and education, ensuring the best results. Each golfer will learn
how to exercise their body properly for golf specific fitness by training with
Josh twice a week for four weeks (each session is 70 min. in length).
Each participant will receive:
- comprehensive flexibility assessment
- individualized stretching program
- extensive personal training for golf specific fitness with a greater focus
on exercise technique (the results of any fitness program lies in the details
– proper form!!!)
- advanced pre – round warm up exercises and golf warm-up
- weekly information packages with tips on golf fitness and the mental game
